Does NRCS promote organic agriculture?
The agency does not have a policy of promoting organic agriculture over other forms of agriculture. It is one of many options for land use, rural economic enterprise, and resource conservation. The NRCS signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Organic Trade Association in 2002. In this document, the two parties agreed to support resource conservation on organic operations.
