Does Notre Dame offer classes and/or performance opportunities in jazz?
Notre Dame offers classes in jazz guitar, jazz piano, Introduction to Jazz, current Jazz and Jazz Ensemble. The Jazz Ensemble regularly performs on and off campus and hosts the prestigious Collegiate Jazz Festival that takes place at Notre Dame every year in late February or early March. Your major teacher can inform you about other performance opportunities in jazz guitar and piano. In addition, an occasional class in jazz music or jazz studies is offered.
