Does not the CRD have to comply with the Minister’s order?
The present Liquid Waste Management Plan is approved by the Province, but the CRD has been directed to produce a new plan by the end if the year. It has been given latitude as to the content of such a plan and could have incorporated the present system but has chosen not to do so. On Wednesday 25th November the Liquid Waste Management Committee will have before it a proposed new “plan,” but as it fails to establish where plants may be located or how many there will be it falls far short of what the Minister requested.
