Does Nose Hill Park have access for people with disabilities?
In 1993, Parks constructed a barrier-free interpretive pathway from the Edgemont Blvd./Shaganappi Trail parking lot. This route is flat and accommodates visitors using wheelchairs or strollers. Rest spots with benches and interpretive signs are located along the pathway. The final rest spot is approximately 650 metres from the start of the route and offers beautiful views of the city and the mountains. In 2007, planned construction activities will increase the total length of asphalt pathways to 8 kilometres, thereby providing even greater access to Nose Hill Park for people with disabilities.
