Does Norway have its own national film production?
Yes, every year Norway produces between 15 and 20 feature films, about 300 short and documentary films and a number of advertising films. Norwegian film production receives about NOK 250 million (USD 34 million or EUR 30 million) in subsidies. Norway also has three nationwide and thirteen local television channels. Our capital city Oslo is the main center of the Norwegian film industry, but you will find regional filming communities many other places in Norway.
