BLOUNTVILLE — A series of workshops designed to inform students and parents on how to prepare for college entry and academic requirements begins next week at Northeast State Community College. Presented by the Office of College Readiness at Northeast State and funded by the College Access Challenge Grant Program, this series emphasizes the facets involved in completing high school prepared for college or work. The first in a series of programs designed to promote college readiness and the development of a college-going culture is scheduled for Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education (KCHE). This workshop entitled — “The College Planning Process: Is My Child Ready for College?” — helps high school seniors get prepared to do collegiate-level coursework.
