Does North Central have a pre-med major?
We do not offer a degree program in pre-medicine. Such programs are too narrowly focused and limit both students’ options and the breadth of their undergraduate preparation. We encourage pre-health students to select a major which is appropriate for their interests. Most choose biology or biochemistry, but other majors are possible as long as professional school entrance requirements are met. Our science courses and degree programs provide excellent preparation for medical school, and faculty advisors help pre-med students select an appropriate program of study.
