Does Newtons Law of Gravity still Stands?

0

I once heard a scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory claim that Newton’s equations worked perfectly well for planning interplanetary trajectories. If that’s true, that’s not trivial; that’s a bit like thowing a marble from New York to Los Angeles so accurately that it hits the dime you were aiming for. I’d answer that Newton’s observations concerning gravity are “roughly” correct: they have tremendous predictive value concerning the behavior of objects in a gravity field, but the equations are not based on a theory of space as adequate as what Einstein articulated. In some situations, then, Newton’s equations will fail to give correct answers, I figure. But I don’t have an example in mind; I’ll leave that to any physicists out there.
