There are fully populated system codes that are held at the state level. If the LEA needs specific system codes, then they can escalate through the LEA then it goes to the SIMS / NC WISE Service Desk. Most system codes are controlled by the state. The LEA can request additions to them through the SIMS / NC WISE Service Desk. There are a few system codes controlled by the LEAs/schools which are listed in the Post Conversion Guide, available from www.ncwise.org.
