Does my wireless router neeed to be plugged into a computer?
Your wireless router serves as a hub for the internet as you know it. Even though you’ll be moving your router somewhere else and disconnecting it from the computer I’m assuming isn’t wireless, it’s still possible to make changes to your router wirelessly. In short, it’ll be fine. Just that computer won’t get internet anymore.
