No one can answer this for you. Therapists are people too and it is possible that she feels close to you as well. I highly doubt that she considers you “just money” especially after knowing her so long. It’s relatively obvious when a therapist actually cares or just listens to you speak and makes good money. I would definitely suggest talking to your therapist about this openly. She’ll understand and I think it would make you feel better to get it out in the open. It’s not ‘wrong’ or ‘abnormal’ so don’t worry. She has essentially been a good friend to you and your feelings are justified. I doubt the relationship could go much further if you remain her client, but as it stands now, it shouldn’t be a problem.
