Does my retherm cycle need to be adjusted when using single use trayware?
In an emergency situation, Burlodge recommends that you use the existing retherm cycle but that you end the retherm manually 10% short of the exact end time, however, if you are using an advanced Burlodge Meal Retherm System that is networked then you can reprogram your trolleys for a 10% shortened retherm time on the fly at your computer terminal. You will find when using Dixie Stoneware, that traditional retherm cycles need not be as long. Thus, if you use Dixie Stoneware for everyday use in a retherm application, you should be using 10% less power and 10% less retherm use which means that for every 5 retherm cycles, you will get one more than you would normally get out of your equipment with traditional retherm cycle times based on high heat plastics or china – this could equate to 1.5 extra years of operating life of your retherm equipment (based on a 15 year life expectancy @ 1,095 retherm cycles per year).
