Does my property need the Pro:Idiom feature?
Not necessarily. First you must have or are planning on implementing a HD VOD system. In some situations it’s not needed due to the fact that some PPV vendors that offer HD VOD have incorporated it into their STB (Set Top Box) or use another form of DRM. Pro:Idiom is not the only system out there, but it is definitely the frontrunner. In most cases however, it will be required to view HD content from a properties movie system. This was implemented because the movie studios don’t want their HD quality content to be copied and exploited (Piracy).
