Does my practicum count toward professional work experience and/or classroom education requirements?
On the job practicum time counts toward the professional work experience requirement (up to 2,000 hours) but not the classroom education requirement. The only portion of a practicum that counts toward classroom education is that time where the trainee returns to the classroom for training. The practicum can count towards the 300 hours of core function training if it is done by a clinical supervisor as defined by Wisconsin Ch. HFS 75 and occurs in an AODA agency working with AODA clients for their AODA problems.
