Does My Pocket Angel need a ‘reader’ at customer touchpoints?

If it is intended to replace a plastic magnetic strip cards – yes. Just like a plastic card needs to be ‘swiped’ in order to identify the individual customer and verify their rules of engagement, so My Pocket Angel needs to ‘tell ‘ the touchpoint that this customer is there. There are a variety of reading technologies available today and My Pocket Angel is compatible with most. It is part of the preparation for any job to consult on which readers would be most cost-effective for each client – or if existing technology could be used. My Pocket Angel can also work alongside plastic loyalty cards as a messaging channel. In this case a reader is not needed. If My Pocket Angel provides a customer id for e-commerce loyalty programmes, (where there are no physical touchpoints), then the customer simply stores his membership number on the app and no reader is required.
