Does my pet need flea preventaion all year round?

0

In Georgia as in many other warm climates fleas are active all year round. To eliminate fleas from our pets and our environments we have to break their life cycle. This means killing all current and hatching fleas as well as the occasional flea brought in from other environments. When even a few fleas are allowed to grow to maturity, they can quickly turn into a serious problem. Since our warm temperatures allow fleas to grow every month of the year, we must protect against them during the whole year. For more information on the flea life cycle please see the following articles: Flea Control in Felines and Flea Control in Canines.
