Does my parent need a PIN to electronically sign my FAFSA, despite being 18 years old already?
It all comes down to if you are an independent or dependent student. However, at 18 and fresh out of high school you will automatically be a dependent student unless you go through the courts to change that. So yes, you are entering your parents financial aid information and they are going to be paying for a majority of your expenses your parent needs to have an electronic pin and sign your fafsa.
