Does my fish have white spot disease?
It sounds as though your fish has white spot as a symptom of being run-down from another more serious disease. If it is in a tank with other fish move it to a seperate tank as it may infect the others. Continue treatment with a broad spectrum disease cure like ‘Gold’, ‘Disease Safe’….sold for goldfish but works for tropicals too! It’s also cheaper…don’t get ripped-off! Unfortinuately, I must say it will be difficult curing this fish as it’s condition sounds advanced.
White Spot disease Ich is common in fish. It is important to use scaleless fish medication on tetras. I use Kordon Rid Fungus and it also works on ich quite well. Increase temperature to 82 to 84 degrees and increase amount of oxygen in tank by adding another air stone and air pump.
