Does my external hard drive need virus protection?

0

Viruses seem to be able to do everything these days. However the virus protection you have and are using currently should also be able to scan the external hard drive if it is set to scan the whole computer, the computer will detect that hard drive as one of its components as long as it is plugged in to the computer. You wouldn’t need any additional software for just the external hard drive.
