You want to keep the space there, otherwise the other baby teeth could move in on the space, and when the adult teeth want to come in there will be no space for them. When the tooth is abscessed the area around the tooth is filled with infection. Trying to numb someone with an abscess is very difficult, it hurts more to numb as you are trying to force fluid in a space where there is already a lot of pressure from the infection. Plus it makes it take a long time for the numbness to start working, usually much longer than normal. If you trust the doctor who will be doing that, if he is good with kids and is patient, she may be ok with the root canal. If he is someone who wants to strap her down while she is awake, don’t go there, it could traumatize her for dentists in the future. It sounds like you already want to get the teeth out, which would be easiest on her and you. I would definitely get spacers though, unless you absolutely plan on getting her braces. Getting early braces, at lik
