Does much confrontation take place within the work place?
Another thing you will notice is that Thais hate confrontation and avoid it at all costs and this would be good advice for you to also take on board. Avoid confrontation with your co-workers and any other Thais for that matter as they do not appreciate it. They do not think in the same way as westerners and get very uncomfortable when voices are raised whereas westerners often have confrontations and raise their voices when annoyed or when they feel aggrieved by something. Having said that there will be times when the only way to get the point across is to confront the issue and the person but only do this for serious problems as it is a big deal for them.
