Does MSU have any previous experience with any SRI funds?
Under MSUs current staff benefit system, many mutual funds exist that focus on SRI. MSU allows its employees to invest in one of 5 mutual fund programs: TIAA-CREF, Vanguard, Fidelity, Valic, Lord Abbett and Equitable. Of these five highly respected Mutual fund institutions, all offers at least one fund that is specifically socially responsible. Some examples include TIAA-CREFs Institutional Social Choice Equity Fund or Fidelitys Enterprise Global Socially Responsive Fund; although the university keeps no statistics on the investing practices of its employees, based on our research, both seem to be relatively popular within the MSU community.
