Both MPDS and Mobile ISDN are carried over the same satellite circuits, which provide 64kbits/s of bandwidth. The difference is that Mobile ISDN is circuit-switched: i.e. 1-1, one circuit per user, whereas MPDS is packet-switched with multiple circuits shared between multiple users.
