Mouthwashes that contain alcohol will cause a positive breath alcohol test which will result in a violation. However, the alcohol contained in mouthwashes usually dissipates within 15 minutes or faster if you rinse your mouth with water before blowing into the IID. To avoid any of this simply use mouthwash that does not contain alcohol.
