Does Mount Sinai have a kosher restaurant?
The exact location of the biblical Mount Sinai is uncertain. It is somewhere in the mountainous south-central region of the Sinai Peninsula, which is Egyptian territory. The individual mountain considered by some to be the one described in the Bible is presently the site of a Catholic monastery. The site is difficult to access; it is not a major destination among Jewish tourists, and the monks do not operate a kosher restaurant.
