Does modern day China still have a hereditary aristocracy in order?
There is no “active” aristrocracy in China since it is a communist “People’s Republic.” However, the descendants of the royal family (mostly the offspring of the younger cousin of “The Last Emperor” Pu Yi still exist in China. Since 1997, the current pretender to the Chinese throne is HH Prince Hengzhen (born 1944) who is the son of Prince Yuyan (born 1918, died 1997) who was the appointed heir of the Xuāntǒng Emperor (better known as “Pǔyí”), the last Emperor of China.
