Does mobile inspector work on all handheld devices?
We have tested the program on a blackberry, IPAQ and mobile laptop. As long as the handheld device has internet connection you will have no problem using the device to complete an inspection. • Do I have to use a ‘handheld’ device to complete an inspection? No, you can use a normal PC to complete an inspection in the office. This can be particularly useful if you find yourself having to complete an inspection in a paper format. • How secure is mobile inspector? Mobile Inspector is hosted on a secure linux server and backed up each evening. An email of each inspection is sent to the branch administrator, therefore you have the option of also keeping a copy of each report in your own office. • We want to use our own inspection form, can this be converted for use on mobile inspector? Absolutely, currently we make no charge for adding three ‘customised’ standard forms for use in the program. If you would like a number of forms customised we can provide a quotation upon request.
