Does Mobile Defense work if the SIM card is changed when my phone is stolen?

Yes. In the event of unauthorized SIM card change, you will receive immediate notification via email and a message will be displayed in your “Recent Activities” feed on the “Account” page. These notifications will include all of the information (e.g., subscriber id, phone number, etc.) on the new SIM card. Often times the new SIM card won’t have a phone number or the associated account will be blocking SMS sent from Mobile Defense. In either case, you will not be able to use the website to establish a remote connection to your phone. However, if post a message on our Help and Troubleshooting forum we can issue emergency commands (e.g., lock, alert, locate, etc.) that are pulled down on reboot or within 24 hours. Note, in the near future user’s will be able to issue their own emergency commands via the web interface.
