Does Mindspeed manufacture its own products?
No. Mindspeed is a “fabless” company, which means that it does not own or operate foundries for wafer and die fabrications, device assembly or final test of products. Instead, it outsources the wafer fabrication, assembly and testing of its semiconductor products to independent, third-party contractors such as TSMC, Chartered, Jazz Semiconductor, Amkor, ASAT and ASE.
