Does milk contain glucose?

0

Milk does not contain glucose in the free form. Although the sugar present in Milk is LACTOSE that is a disaccharide sugar having Glucose and Galactose units linked together through a glycosidic bond. We sometimes feel little sweetness in Milk because the glycosidase enzymes present in our Saliva (in Mouth) cleave the bond between Glucose and Galactose, and it is because of this free glucose and free galactose that we feel it little sweet.
