Does Mexico have the best Olympics squad in our history?
That’s for sure… because: 1) Never before a Champion sub-17 Mexican National team was the base for the Pre-Olympics Tourney team, that means many of these players have played together, know each other well and have a win-win mentality 2) We never had all these youngsters (Vela, Gio, Guardado, Moreno, Jonathan, etc) playing, at least for the first 3, in the A teams of one of the most competitive leagues: La Liga (or as the ex-ESPN now TV Azteca analyst Luis Omar Tapia calls it: La Liga de las Estrellas). 3) Teams as Cruz Azul has Dominguez, Villaluz, Andrade in key field positions, Chivas has Esparza, “Pato” Araujo, “gauchito” Avila, Edgar Solis, as titulares and Arellano, “sully Jr” Ledezma, “la Mona” Olvera, Baez, as excellent subs, America has OChoa, Esqueda, Silva, etc. Atlas has Ayala, Jorge Hernandez, Robles, Mendivil, Flores, etc. Pumas has Velarde, Efrain Juarez, Atlante has Zamora, el “hobbit” Bermudez, and never in the past these many youngsters where part of the 1st Divisio
