Does Metformin help with PCOS?
I know for a fact that it helps. I have had pcos for three years. Before diagnosis and treatment (with Fortamet and BC) I had a period around three times a year. Fortamet is the extended release version of metformin and I have tolerated it much better – stomach issues are minimum. Anyway, we decided to try to have a baby soon after we were married, we figured it would take a while after all of the stories I have heard from other pcos women. Well… Four months later, I was pregnant. I took the Fortamet for the first eight weeks, and now I am off of it and almost 20 weeks along!! I am deeply sorry about your miscarriage, and I hope that you try again with more success. If you haven’t been to an endocrinologist, now would be a good time to start, they can be extremely helpful during the TTC process.
