Does MEDJETASSIST cover or exclude regarding acts of War and/or Terrorism?
MEDJET does NOT exclude Terrorism in its membership rules and regulations; however MEDJET does EXCLUDE War. This means that if a MEDJET member is visiting a foreign country and is injured requiring hospitalization due to a terror attack (as has been the case in Bali and Israel) MEDJET would provide air medical evacuation services. However, if a camera crew (for example) is filming in Afghanistan and is injured during a U.S. bombing, or in any country that is in the midst of an all out declared war, civil or othewise, then MEDJET would NOT provide evacuation benefits for the member(s) who knowingly entered that situation. The only other related limitation concerns countries where the U.S. Department of State has issued travel restrictions and may or may not allow a U.S. registered aircraft to enter. In the past MEDJET has been able to operate in these areas with “special permission” from the U.S. State Department, and in addition MEDJET utilizes European Affiliates who do not have such
