Does Medicare cover foreign travel?
No. If Medicare is your primary insurance, you should purchase travel insurance for possible medical emergencies. In fact most private policies either have limited or no coverage at all outside continental USA. Even if your personal policy will cover, you will have co-pay and deductibles…travel insurance will cover these deductibles and co-payments on covered claims. Some travel insurance policies are primary.
