Does medical school look at the last year of high school?
NO! Medical schools do not look at your high school grades. In fact, it’s entirely possible to go to medical school without ever having graduated high school. High school, aside from it’s low level general educational value, is simply one method of acquiring acceptance into undergraduate education. At an undergraduate level is where you will take your requirements for medical school. High school is not the only path and certainly will not define your academic and career successes. Just like colleges don’t look at your grade school report cards, graduate schools will not be looking at your high school transcript! Further still your last two years in university will be much much more important than your first two meaning you’ve still got a few years to fix things.
