Does MDH have a timeline for implementing the national standard?

0

MDH is completing activities to comply with NELAP requirements for NELAP Accreditation Bodies. These requirements include documentation (i.e. administrative SOPs) and training (i.e. basic and technical training of assessors). When MDH can assure that its accreditation program and its certified laboratories are capable of meeting the national standard, then MDH may submit an application to become NELAP-recognized Accreditation Body. The national standard includes required timelines for NELAP to review an application and for a prospective NELAP Accreditation Body to respond to deviations. A typical timeline is six months from the applicants submission date to NELAPs acceptance/rejection of the application.
