Does MCFR conduct different types of tests on fire hydrants?
MCFR tests hydrants in accordance with the recommended practices from the National Fire Protection Association and the Insurance Services Organization. We perform a full flow profile test once every five years to gather test data and measure the capacity of the hydrant. During years two, three, four, and five we conduct a modified pressure test which we check for leaks and water flow from each hydrant.
