DOES McDONALD’S CORPORATION SUBSIDIZE THE HOUSE?
Not directly. McDonald’s Corporation encourages the owners and operators of local McDonald’s restaurants to participate in national and local promotions benefiting Ronald McDonald Houses. Here in the Rio Grande Valley, we are fortunate to have the generous support from the Valley’s McDonald’s restaurant owners/operators. In 2006, programs they supported, initiated or managed accounted for approximately 25 percent of our operating revenue.
