Does Maverick Ranch Beef have less cholesterol than most chicken and fish?
ANSWER – Yes. In the first place, beef has lower average cholesterol than chicken, turkey and many species of fish. Our Eye of Round has the same amount of fat as breast of chicken. Maverick Ranch is the only beef processor we know of that meets USDA labeling requirements for “Less cholesterol”. In general, Maverick Ranch beef has approximately 30% less cholesterol than chicken.
