Does Matthews & Associates have experience in the design and construction of mountain homes?
We have designed mountain and resort architecture in many of the Colorado resorts including Vail, Keystone, Silverthorne and Breckenridge. We carefully consider the familys use of the home, and then design with a thorough knowledge and respect for winter conditions that require snow shedding roof designs, heating considerations, protection from storms and solar exposure of key elements such as patios, decks and driveways. We work with clients to find the best site, and create a mountain home that will meet individual needs for entertaining, lodging, guests, etc. We use appropriate and rustic materials including logs, timbers and natural stone.
