Yes, Mark 8 Global Source has worked and continues to work with small suppliers that employ adults from very impoverished backgrounds in attempts to teach them viable skills as well as provide them a living wage for themselves and to help their families. We have arrangements with development centers in Laos, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Thailand and Sri Lanka that produce product that is very labor intensive without benefit of large capital investment. Stories from these micro-factories are truly awe inspiring and we are proud that we have been able to make an impact in helping the standard of living of many of these employees to help themselves and their families. I don’t want my product being produced by children, by forced labor, with companies that do not pay according to the law or in factories that that do not provide safe, clean working conditions for its employees.
