Does marijuana affect breast milk?
Yes. It passes into the breast milk thus entering the baby’s system once s/he drinks it. Marijuana can negatively impact the baby’s growth & development, such as slow weight gain and decreased motor development. Long term effects on infants are not well known. I would not advise using marijuana while breastfeeding or caring for a child in general as marijuana affects judgment and perception.
