Does Maitreya have in mind any end-purpose to life?
A. He says the meaning and purpose and goal of life is the achievement of Self-realization – that is what we are here for – and He has come to teach the ‘art’, as He calls it, of Self-realization. He says that it is not a religion, an ideology or a belief but is something which is the goal of our life. When you are Self-realized you are also illumined, enlightened, and become a Master; then you are free to leave this planet, if that is your destiny.
