Does magnesium displace hydrogen in the reaction between Hydrochloric acid and Magnesium?

0

Hello, i did an experiment where i added hydrochloric acid and magnesium last thursday! Magnesium is quite high in the reactivity series/scale, when you put them together – hydrogen is released. The word equation is Magnesium + Hydrochloric acid = Magnesium Chloride + Hydrogen. We dropped magnesium into hydrochloric acid and it fizzed, started to bubble/dissolve and gave off hydrogen gas. Hope this helps x P.S: please pick my answer as the best!
