Does Macromedia (Adobe) Dreamweaver support SFTP?
Yes, Dreamweaver MX 2004 and later support SFTP. The Adobe Dreamweaver support web site is here. Make sure you configure Dreamweaver to always use SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) while connecting to host mason.gmu.edu. Help setting up Adobe Dreamweaver for SFTP is available here. Adobe Dreamweave CS3 does allow remote file and folder permissions to be modified but not displayed through the application. It does not allow default file and folder permissions to be set through the application. Modify the remote file and folder permissions via the Dreamweaver ‘Remote View.’ Next, right-click a file and select ‘Set Permissions…’ Dreamweaver version CS3 does not display the current permissions at this point. Simply set the permission to the desired settings. Typically the desired permissions for a file are read and write for the owner, read for the group, and read for everyone. Directories normally are read, write, and execute for owner, read and execute for group and everyone. Dreamweave
