Does Lubramine work like synthetic Cox-2 drugs?
A – No, synthetic Cox-2 inhibitors are very specific. In addition to producing inflammatory agents in the body, Cox-2 is required in the manufacture of prostacyclin a very immuno-protective prostaglandin. Cox-2 drugs use up this protective prostaglandin and this is likely the reason behind their negative side-effects. Lubramine does not affect prostacylcin and, therefore is a safe, non-toxic option.
