Does love defy logic or is love a kind of logic?

It is certainly not a ‘kind’ of logic, but it can be logical or at times defy logic, for sure. Since it is an emotion, it can be said to have a cause or reason… This reason could justifiably lead to love, or at times lead to love for a really ‘bad’ reason, or an illogical one. Examples: Person A meets person B, they have like minds and are both very kind to each other – over time they spend more and more time with each other and fall deeply in love. Love in this instance could be deemed ‘logical’. Person A meets person B, they have nothing in common and Person B abuses person A, yet A finds him/herself deeply in love with B because of looks, quirks in the personality, etc. Love in this instance defies logic, since B is abusive towards A.
