(Back to top) Although Lorne was recently interviewed for the section on Travel Photography for the book, How to Make Money with your Digital Camera, the above question can best be answered by paraphrasing the book title: “You can’t learn to ride a bike in a seminar”. Lorne’s workshops are geared towards enhancing personal vision and creativity. By definition it’s impossible to find any books or seminars on one’s own individual vision and photographic voice. For example there are lots of books on boxing, but being in the ring with a coach, who is teaching to your particular style, puts you leagues ahead of the game and can teach you many things you would never learn from a book. Having said all that, Lorne is a big believer in books and videos and considers them invaluable.
