Does Lorenz Snack-World use GM products?
No, Lorenz Snack-World aims to avoid any use of genetically modified organisms (GMO). Our principles on the issue are as follows: No genetic procedures are used in the manufacture of our products. We only use those ingredients that have not undergone any genetic modification or that do not contain any transgenic material. However, the global use of genetic procedures in agriculture and therefore in the production of foodstuffs is increasing all the time. Outside Europe, in particular, modified crops are being planted over an ever-increasing area and the number of newly authorised transgenic raw materials is growing steadily. As a result the food industry is finding it increasingly difficult to source raw materials that do not contain any transgenic material. Furthermore, in the production sites of the Lorenz Snack-World group all currently available scientific measures are being used to ensure that only GM-free goods are being produced.
