Absolutely not! LO/MIT has never caused shingle damage in any installation. Extensive testing at the Florida Solar Energy Center has shown that the use of radiant barrier (IRCCS) results in, at most, a 2-3 degree rise in shingle temperature. Contact our technical services department for names of shingle manufacturers that guarantee their products when used with LO/MIT.
